The power run game is coming to Lee-Scott football this fall.
Coach Robert Maddox said the team is picking up the new offense, but that there are still a lot of unknowns that won't be answered until the Warriors play someone other than themselves.
Those answers will start to come Thursday, when the team travels to Chambers Academy for a Jamboree.
The Warriors will swap offense and defense with Chambers against a team made up of Evangel and Springwood.
Maddox said the team realizes that the offense won't be easy.
"It’s just a little different mentality. People are used to the Fun-N-Gun, spread it out all over the field, running everywhere," he said. "This is totally diametrically opposite. I’m a big believer in finding something nobody else does and doing that.
He added that starting quarterback Turk Pettit has picked up the offense well after missing spring practice while playing golf. Every other position is pretty much set.
"We’ve pretty well got people in the right positions," he said. "As a general rule, we’ve got everybody in the right place and ready to play.
The Jamboree will begin at 6 p.m at Chambers Academy in LaFayette.
