The Lee-Scott Academy Warriors fell in a tough one last Friday 35-18 as they were not able to overcome Hooper Academy. Contact tracing and injuries saw the Warriors lose their quarterback and several other key positions, and while head coach Buster Daniel praised the play of his backups, ultimately they were not able to pull out a victory.

“I thought our kids played hard,” said Daniel. “The bottom line is we gave up too many big plays. We made some big plays, too, but their big plays took away our momentum. But our guys never have up and I’m super proud of them.”

The Warriors are now 2-6 on the year, and it is now a waiting game to see if Lee-Scott will get to play another game.

All Warriors will be rooting for Hooper Academy this Friday night as they take on Valiant Cross Academy. The winner of the game will determine if Lee-Scott gets to the chance to make the playoffs. With a Valiant Cross win, the Warriors will have played their final game. With a Hooper win, there is still a possibility of making the playoffs.

Regardless of the outcome Friday, Daniel said that he was proud of his players and excited about the future.

“We have great kids and the future is very bright here," he said. "For this group right here we just hope that we haven’t played our last game."
