Thanks for your coverage of the school security issue. Dr. (Karen) DeLano should provide answers to the following questions...

She claims student safety is the most important consideration then cites budget constraints when asked about placing school resource officers in every school.

She refuses to answer the question about replacing the glass walls and again says it will have to be a budget discussion. Hmmm, where was her concern when she spent an exorbitant $72 million on the high school? Where was her concern when she put down expensive artificial turf and built an indoor practice field? Where was her budgetary concern when she paid the football coach with no classroom responsibilities three times what a regular subject-matter teacher is paid? 

How much is the external security consultant being paid to conduct the review? Will the costs associated with their findings be made public or hidden in the name of secrecy?

Will the new high school planned for Richland Road have the same glass walls?
