William “Don” Eddins, 74, a resident of Auburn, Ala., passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023.

Mr. Eddins had so many people he loved and many activities that he enjoyed doing throughout his life. However, there were undoubtedly five things that you instantly knew he loved the second you met him: God, his family, Auburn University, law, and the beach. He built his life around these things and would do anything to protect and enjoy them. Don taught his family to live with honesty and integrity just as he did with every person he met throughout his lifetime. He will be sorely missed by everyone that knew him.

Mr. Eddins is survived by the love of his life and wife of 46 years, Jimmie Carolyn “Nikki” Eddins, his three children, Candice Swiger (Brad) of Daphne, Ala., Kristin Hua (Aaron) of Auburn, Ala., and Lee Eddins of Panama City, Fla.. Survivors also include his five precious grandchildren Nicole (18), Shelby (14), Micah (14), Will (11), and Avery (9). He is also survived by his sisters, Betty Granger of Montgomery, Ala., Alpha Ulm of Nashville, Tenn., Debbie Simmons (Doug) of Daphne, Ala., his brother Hollis Eddins (Sharon) of Houston, Texas, and sister-in-law Pat. He had a host of nieces and nephews, their children, other relatives, and great friends that he adored.

He was preceded in death by his mother Willie Mae Eddins, father Grady Lee Eddins and two brothers, Richard and Larry Eddins.
