On Wednesday, Dec. 5, from 10 am. to 5 p.m., the Ferguson Chapel CME Church will host a workshop to help locals sign up for health care.

The church is located at 310 S. 4th Street in Opelika, and the workshop is hosted by The Wellness Coalition. Those on site will help attendees apply for health insurance through the Federal Marketplace. No appointment is necessary. To receive help on the phone, call 334-293-6502 or 800-309-4941.

To make the process as smooth as possible, certain information is needed. Required information may include social security numbers, immigration documentation, most recent income tax information, employer information, check stubs, net income if self-employed, social security payments, alimony or retirement or pension income, investment income, rental income, other taxable income, current health care information, and similar information regarding other individuals in your household.
