Hey Day Market

Hans van der Reijden (standing), founder and CEO of Ithaka Hospitality Partners, greets patrons at the grand opening of the Hey Day Market at the Rane Culinary Science Center on South College Street on Tuesday

The Rane Culinary Science Center marked a milestone this week, as Auburn University classes began and the Hey Day Market opened its doors to the public for the first time on Tuesday.

A line of students and other residents formed before the doors opened at 10:30 a.m. at the Hey Day Market, a "food hall and gathering place" that features a wide array of food options, including everything from burgers to tacos to poke bowls from companies and entrepreneurs like Little Darling Burger Co., Cubanita, Khoodles, Pokémen, Wildchild, and even a walk-up bar, among others.
