The Auburn Preservation League will present its 13th annual Loveliest Village Christmas Tour of Homes and Buildings on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m, and Sunday, Dec. 15 from 1 to 4 p.m.

Proceeds from this year’s tour will once again be used to cover the costs of providing limited renovations or repairs to a home in Auburn built before 1940. Eligible homes must be owner-occupied by senior citizens (those 70 and older), veterans or low-income residents.

The 13th annual tour will feature eight homes and buildings in Auburn, including Sunny Slope South College Street, the Thomas home on North Gay Street, the Jordan home on Lee Drive, the home on Ross Street now open as a coffee shop, the Rowell home on Terrace Acres Drive, the Brinson home on Brenton Lane, the Holcomb home on Elise Lane and the Oroushorn home on VFW Road.

Tickets for the tour are $20 and will go on sale Dec. 2 at the following locations: Auburn Bank (downtown), Auburn Chamber of Commerce, Auburn Hardware, Behind the Glass, The Flower Store, University Ace Hardware and Ware Jewelers in downtown Auburn. Tickets will also be available at each home on the days of the tour.

The Auburn Preservation League's purpose is to foster historic preservation and to promote cooperation in combining the resources of local government, organizations, associations, businesses and citizens in order to enhance the quality and beauty of the Auburn community.
