Bikes and toys donated during a previous toy drive

Auburn residents can still donate to the Auburn Public Safety Department e 2019 Auburn Toy Drive campaign through Dec. 6.

The program is designed to assist families in the Auburn community by providing Christmas gifts to needy children ages 2 through 8. Registration to receive gifts through the program has ended.

Anyone wishing to donate to the Auburn Toy Drive can drop off an unwrapped gift at any of the five Auburn Fire Division stations or either Auburn Police Division precinct (located at 543 W. Magnolia Ave. and 141 N. Ross St.) through Dec. 6.

Thanks to the generosity of Life Storage, two remote drop points have also been established at Life Storage stores located at 1231 Gatewood Drive and 2020 S. College St.

Individuals purchasing a gift to be donated can leave it unwrapped and drop it off at one of the listed locations. Helpers will sort the gifts into age-appropriate categories; delivery is scheduled during the week before Christmas.

During this holiday season, please remember those who may be less fortunate. All donations are extremely important.

As always, be reminded that no monetary donations can be accepted; however, any purchased gift is appreciated.

Questions regarding the Auburn Toy Drive campaign may be directed to Debra Hoyett at the Auburn Police Division by calling 334-501-3117.
