The community is invited to join Mayor Ron Anders as he reflects on the successes and challenges the Auburn community has shared over the last year.

Anders will deliver the inaugural State of the City Address on Monday, Oct. 28, at the Jay and Susie Gouge Performing Arts Center.

Enjoy light refreshments in the arts center's foyer beginning at 5 p.m., then file into the Woltosz Theatre to hear Anders’ address at 5:30 p.m.

The address will give residents a chance to hear about the work that goes into making Auburn a thriving and dynamic community. From the impact of local industrial, commercial and recreational developments to the state of the public school system and its future, Anders will touch on the highlights of the past year and give a glimpse into Auburn’s bright future.

Anders will conclude the evening by presenting the Mayor's Lamplighter Awards. These new awards will recognize the efforts six community members have made to make Auburn a brighter place to live, work and play.

The event is free and open to the public. The Gogue Performing Arts Center is located at 910 S. College Street.
