ACS Board of Education

The Auburn City Schools Board of Education got its first look at the projected budget for Fiscal Year 2023 at a work session on Tuesday morning. 

The projected combined budget, which includes the General Fund, the Special Revenue Fund and other funding sources, shows a beginning fund balance of approximately $56 million. Total revenue for FY23, including other funding sources, is projected to be about $164.34 million, while total expenditures, including other fund uses, are pegged at about $166.27 million. The projected ending fund balance for FY23 is about $54 million, according to a presentation given to the board by ACS Finance Director Liz Springer. The General Fund balance makes up 55.29 percent, the Special Revenue Fund 27.01 percent and the Capital Projects Fund 16.37 percent of the projected ending fund balance for FY23.
