ORDINANCE NO. 3197

AN ORDINANCE ADOPTED PURSUANT TO THE PROVISIONS OF SECTION 11-42-20 ET SEQ OF THE CODE OF ALABAMA, 1975, AS AMENDED, PROVIDING FOR ASSENT BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF AUBURN TO THE ALTERATION AND REARRANGEMENT OF THE BOUNDARIES OF THE CITY OF AUBURN AND ASSENTING TO THE ANNEXATION OF CERTAIN LANDS INTO THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY, IN RESPONSE TO PETITIONS FILED BY PERSONS OWNING ALL THE LAND AREA OF THE LANDS ANNEXED, AND APPROVING SUCH ANNEXATION.

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

From the Northwest comer of the Northeast Quarter of Section 10, Township 18 North, Range 26 East, run thence South 01 degree 19 minutes West, 1,167.0 feet; thence run South 88 degrees 41minutes East, 131.2 feet to the point of intersection of the northeasterly margin of a paved private road and the centerline of a driveway, and the point of beginning of the parcel of land herein described and conveyed; from said point of beginning, run North 30 degrees 31minutes West along the northeasterly margin of said private road, 86.9 feet; thence continuing in a northwesterly direction along the northeasterly margin of said private road, around a curve, the length of the chord of which is 105.7feet, and the radius of said curve being 189.8 feet; thence continuing along the East margin of said road, run North 01degree 24 minutes East, 373.5 feet; thence following the water line of a lake, along the following chord and distances, to- wit: South 44 degrees 16 minutes East, 117.5 feet; thence South 19 degrees 44 minutes East, 63.0 feet; thence South 62 degrees 35 minutes East, 321.5 feet; thence South 04 degrees 07 minutes East, 158.0 feet; thence leaving said lake, run South 72 degrees 58 minutes West, 161.8 feet; thence North 17 degrees 02 minutes West, 16.9 feet; thence South 72 degrees 14 minutes West, 122.0 feet; thence South 63 degrees 14 minutes West, 70.5 feet to the point of beginning. Containing 2.927 acres, more or less, as shown by a plat of survey made by David H. Miller dated April 23, 1971, a copy of which is attached to that certain warranty deed dated June 28, 1971 from Wiley Williams and Peggy R. Williams, husband and wife, to Billy J. Kirkley, recorded in Deed Book 857, at Page 465, in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Lee County, Alabama.
