NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS

Sealed bids will be received by the City of Auburn, Alabama until 10:00 a.m. local time, on Thursday, March 5, 2020 in the Office of the City Manager, 144 Tichenor

Avenue, Auburn, Alabama, and then publicly opened and read for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment necessary for the completion of the following project:

WRIGHT STREET PARKING DECK

The project will consist of constructing a new concrete parking deck that will provide approximately 350 parking spaces and contain space for the Baptist Campus

Ministry on the ground floor. The concrete structure will be comprised of post-tensioned slabs and exterior precast concrete wall panels with thin brick and precast

details. The building will be fully sprinklered with both wet and dry systems and include an emergency generator and two traction elevators. Exterior improvements

will include a new pocket park on College Street, landscaping and irrigation, and site lighting.

There will be a PRE-BID MEETING at 10:00 a.m. local time on Tuesday, February 18, 2020 at the Development Services Building Conference Room located at 171

North Ross Street, Auburn, AL 36830. Bidders interested in this project are strongly encouraged to be present or a have a company representative present at the prebid

meeting.

Plans, specifications, and contract documents are open to public inspection, free of charge, in the Office of the City Engineer, located at 171 North Ross Street, Auburn,

Alabama or at www.auburnalabama.org/bids. Plans and specifications may be obtained upon payment of a non-refundable deposit of $50.00. Plans and specifications

specifications.

Guarantee will be required with each bid in the amount of at least five percent (5%) (not to exceed ($10,000) of the amount bid in the form of a certified or cashier's

check or bid bond payable to the City of Auburn, Alabama.

All bidders are required to be compliant with the Beason-Hammon Alabama Taxpayer and

Citizen Protection Act, Act No. 2011-535 (Code of Alabama (1975) ยง 31-13-9) as amended May

16, 2012 regarding employment practices.

The successful bidder is responsible for acquiring the appropriate business licenses and permits to conduct work within the City of Auburn.

Your attention in particular is invited to the "Instructions for Bidders", which is to be followed in all respects. The City reserves the right to select the lowest

responsible bidder as is in the best interest of the City, to award the purchase contract from any of the bids, to reject any and all bids, and to waive any informalities in

bids received. Bids will be good for thirty (30) days after being opened by the City of Auburn, Alabama.
