TO: All resident citizens of the City of Auburn, Alabama, and other interested persons:

Take notice that the Planning Commission of the City of Auburn, Alabama, will hold a public hearing on Thursday, July 14, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers of the Auburn

Public Safety Building located at 141 North Ross Street. Said hearing will be to consider a request from Holland Homes LLC on behalf of Hanson Grimes Land LLC for a rezoning of

approximately 185 acres, located at 943 Lee Road 57 (Willis Turk Road) and also along Wimberly Road. This is a request to rezone the subject properties from Rural (R) to Limited

Development District (LDD).

LEGAL DESCRIPTION:

The Northern half of the twenty (20) acres of land located in the South West . of the South West . of Section 33, Township 19, Range 25. Bounded on the West by fifty (50) acres of land

belonging to Joseph Ervin Morse and on the East by the Public road landing from Lochapolka Road to the DeLoach Estates, containing ten (10) acres.

The Southern half of the twenty (20) acres of land located in the Southwest . of the South West . of Section 33, Township 19, Range 25, bounded on the West by fifty (5) acres of land

belonging to Joseph Ervin Morse and on the East by the Public road landing from Lochapolka Road to the DeLoach Estate, containing ten (10) acres.

A parcel of land lying in Section 32, Township 19 North, Range 25 East, Lee County, Alabama, being more particularly described as follows: commence at a found 1 inch open top pipe

locally accepted as the Southeast corner of Section 32, Township 19 North, Range 25 East; thence North 01 degrees 44 minutes 04 seconds West 1026.97 feet to a 1 inch open top pipe found at

the point of beginning; thence South 87 degrees 30 minutes 00 seconds West 2125.55 feet to a 1 inch open top pipe found on the east right-of-way line of Lee Road 57 (70 foot right-of-way);

thence along the east line of said road North 24 degrees 26 minutes 15 seconds West 468.44 feet to a rebar set on the south line of a 100 foot wide Alabama Power Company easement; thence

along the south line of said easement North 71 degrees 43 minutes 24 seconds East 854.51 feet to a set rebar; thence North 02 degrees 24 minutes 16 seconds West 893.22 feet to a found 1 inch

bar; thence North 87 degrees 30 minutes 00 seconds East 1476.4i feet to a set rebar; thence South 02 degrees 46 minutes 55 seconds East 251.65 feet to a found 1 inch bar (#15722); thence South

02 degrees 41 minutes 34 seconds East 179.00 feet to a found 1 inch bar (#15722); thence South 02 degrees 43 minutes 50 seconds East 185.40 feet to a found fence corner; thence South 02

degrees 40 minutes 45 seconds East 609.54 feet to a found flat iron in a rock pile; thence South 01 degrees 46 minutes 36 seconds East 334.52 feet to the point of beginning, containing 62.5

acres, more or less. All according to that certain plat of survey prepared by J. Keith Maxwell, Alabama Reg. No. 17262, dated September 28, 1995, and entitled Survey for Paul Thomas.

Number 115, thence along said right of way North 140 00' West, 387.3 feet to a concrete right of way monument; thence along said right of way North 18° 14' 12" West, 432.52 feet to a concrete

right of way monument; thence along said right of way North 220 32' 25" West, 1125.9 feet to a point; thence leaving said right of way North 880 35' East, 680.5 feet to an iron pin; thence South

87° 47' East, 504.0 feet to an iron pin; thence North 880 36' East, 941.7 feet to a point; thence South 00° 12' 38" West 1026.9 feet to the Northeast comer of said section, township and range, and

point of beginning, containing 74.22 acres, more or less, including the Dixie Pipeline 50 foot right of way. Said property lying an being in Section 5, Township 18 North, Range 25 East, and

Section 32, Township 19 North, Range 25 East, Lee County, Alabama. This being the same property shown as Parcel C on the attached survey for Walter H. Grimes, Dorothy R. Grimes

This being the same property described as Parcel 1, 30 acres described in Parcel 2, and Parcel 3 of that certain deed from H. H. Shotts and Charlcie W. Shotts to Walter H. Grimes, Dorothy

R. Grimes, Ambers E. Hanson and Jean L. Hanson, in Book 909, at Page 561, in the Office of the Judge of Probate of Lee County, Alabama.

Begin at the Southwest comer of Section 33, Township 19 North, Range 25 East, Lee County, Alabama; thence North 00° 12' 38" East, 1361.5 feet to an iron pin; thence North 89° 57' 15" East,

659.3 feet to an iron pin; thence South 00° 09' 30" East, 653.2 feet to an iron pin; thence South 00° 32' 30" West, 702.3 feet to a point; thence South 89° 26' 19" West, 659.5 feet to the point of

beginning, containing 20.62 acres, more or less. Said property lying an being in Section 33, Township 19 North, Range 25 East, Lee County, Alabama.

This being the same property shown as Parcel D on the attached survey for Walter H. Grimes, Dorothy R. Grimes Ambers E. Hanson and Jean L. Hanson, dated March 27, 1979.

Lot 2C of the re-division of Lot 2 of the Nettie Sanders Estate Subdivision located in Section 33, Township 19 North, Range 25 East, as referenced in Plat Book 38, at Page 199, as recorded in

the Office of the Judge of Probate of Lee County, Alabama
