NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING PL-2020-00256

TO: All resident citizens of the City of Auburn, Alabama, and other interested persons:

Take notice that the Planning Commission of the City of Auburn, Alabama, will conduct a public hearing at the Commission's meeting place in the Council Chambers of the Auburn Public Safety Building, located at 141 North Ross Street at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020. Said hearing will be to consider a request from Mike Maher, Precision Surveying, LLC, on behalf of Thad Webster for a rezoning of approximately 4.18 acres, more or less, located at 2202 Martin Luther King Drive. This is a request to rezone the subject property from Rural (R) to Comprehensive Development District (CDD).

The property in question is more specifically described as follows:

Legal Description: Commencing at the Northwest corner of Section 26, Township 19 North, Range 25 East, Auburn, Lee County, Alabama; thence South 00°02'00" East, a distance of 730.74 feet to the Northwest corner of a parcel of land described in Deed Book 539 Page 347 at the Lee County Judge of Probate; South 00°02'00" East, a distance of 1892.26 feet to a point; thence South 87°43'00" East, a distance of 337.10 feet to a point; thence South 00°13'00" East, a distance of 412.28 feet to The Point of Beginning of a parcel of land described herein: From said POINT OF BEGINNING; thence South 89°32'28" West, a distance of 5.00 feet to a point; thence a chord bearing South 26°42'52" East, a chord distance of 451.22 feet, with a radius of 510.00 feet to a point; thence South 52°58'12" East, a distance of 145.46 feet a point; thence a chord distance of South 34°41'42" East, a chord distance of 273.53, with a radius of 410.00 feet to a point; thence South 15°12'33" East, a distance of 47.51 feet to a point in the Northern right-of-way of Martin Luther King Dr (Hwy 14); thence continue along said right-of-way a chord bearing South 80°02'09" West, a chord distance of 217.17 feet, with a radius of 5690.00 feet to a point; thence continue along said right-of-way South 81°47'00" West, a distance of 270.90 feet to a point; thence leaving said right-of-way North 00°13'00" East, a distance of 832.52 feet to The Point of Beginning;

Containing 4.18 Acres, more or less.
