AACT Away Your Winter Blues

January 21, 28

Location: Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center,

222 E Drake Ave., Auburn, AL

Auburn Area Community Theatre is engaging the community by putting on FREE winter workshops on Tuesdays in January.

These workshops are open to the public, held on Tuesdays in the month of January (started Jan. 7), from 6:30 – 8pm at the Jan Dempsey Community Arts Center (JDCAC). This is a great opportunity for anyone who is interested in local theatre but might be unsure how to get involved. An AACT Board Member will be present every workshop to answer questions while participants engage in theatre activities, improvisational games, and receive tips about auditioning or production. There will also be time reserved for mingling so guests can get to know AACT and each other. The workshops are not sequential, so guests can attend as many or as few as they are able to. One does not have to attend all sessions, but what fun it would be! Participants should be at least 16 years of age. This will be a great opportunity to come out, have some fun, and learn more about your local theatre community. This is also a great way to get your feet wet, get plugged in, and prepare for our upcoming show, Vanya and Sonia and Masha and Spike, which will audition in March. We hope to see you there!

  • Starting Tuesday, January 21st, 2020, repeated every week on Tuesday until Tuesday, January 28, 2020 @ 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm
