The Foy-ODK Sportsmanship Award is coming back to the Plains after being across the state for the past two years.

At halftime of the Auburn vs. Alabama men’s basketball game the trophy will be presented to Gus Malzahn and the 2013-14 Auburn Tiger Football Team.

The trophy is named after James E. Foy, a former Auburn dean of students and Omicron Delta Kappa Honor Society – which was established on both campuses during the 1920s. At the start of each season the SGA Presidents of both schools agree to bet on the outcome of the Iron Bowl by agreeing that after the trophy presentation, the SGA President of the losing team will sing the winning team’s fight song.

The basketball game is set for 7 p.m. CST in Auburn Arena on Wednesday, Jan. 29.

The Tigers have not won a SEC game this year so far (at time of publication), but they beat Alabama last year in Auburn Arena 49-37.

Tickets can still be purchased online at auburntigers.com.
